Easy Orchid Plants - Phalaenopsis Brother Golden Potential

I define “easy” orchids as those that can be grown indoors in mild climates in homes that have the heating on during the daytime in winter.

This fabulous moth orchid was produced in Taiwan in 1998, the result of a long line of specialist breeding that brought out the sought-after qualities of rich, sunshine-yellow coloring combined with a well-rounded shape. Since it first appeared, this outstanding hybrid has been mass-produced and is now grown worldwide. The exciting blooms - six to eight to born on branching spikes two or three times a year - are slightly smaller than in many of the white-and pink-flowered varieties. The plant is also compact, consisting of only three or four leaves at any one time. Ideal as houseplants, these orchids require warm conditions and shade. Keep them watered throughout the year.

Flower Size: 3 inches (8cm) across

Flower Spike: 1 1/2-2 feet (45-60cm)

Plant Spread: 7 inches (18cm)

Pot Size: 5 inches (12cm)
